Going beyond log homes, we have also garnered a reputation for being a diverse home builder. At Shircliff Construction we enjoy exploring all types of building methods — Log Construction, Hybrid Construction, ICF Construction, Stick Frame Construction — and offering those building techniques to our clients.
The company is owned and operated by husband and wife duo, Don and Laura Shircliff. The conception of the company really falls down to Don — who is often on the jobsite 80-90% of the time. While Don's focus was always within the construction industry, it was not always on becoming a general contractor, let alone a log home expert.
"Don earned an Associate Degree in Architectural Design at Northwest Technical Institute in Eden Prairie, MN, but found he 'made more money pounding nails' and enjoyed it more too."* Now, having nearly three decades of construction experience under his belt, Don never regrets his decision to start up his own construction company.
Don's education serves him well, allowing him to be exceptionally creative in drafting and building. Whether meeting with clients, drafting plans, or physically putting up walls we love what we do and it shows with our nearly 100% customer satisfaction record.
As a general contractor and new home builder in central Minnesota, we serve a wide range of growing markets throughout the four state area of Minnesota (MN), South Dakota (SD), North Dakota (ND) and Wisconsin (WI). In our immediate service area we've successfully completed custom home builds, developed hybrid homes, and executed remodeling services to our clients' overwhelming satisfaction. Minnesota communities served include: Alexandria, Miltona, Brainerd, Crosslake, Garrison, Paynesville, Park Rapids, Wadena, Staples, Detroit Lakes, Sauk Centre, Spicer, and many more.
